Need to compare data series of Range and Time for the same EMA value

How can I compare the same EMA period with 2 different data series where the series are Range and Time? Do I have to unlock Strategy builder and code it manually?

    Hello Tonofit,

You can select Range as an added series in the builder so you can do this task with the builder. To compare a time series against the range series you would need to add the range series and then when configuring the indicator select the range series for its Input series.

I'm getting an error when adding the input series in builder now and error dialog is long so there is photo 1 and 2 for the error message. I can't tell from the logs where the error is and it's for all the Input Series other than the default, so I need some help, or schedule a session with NinjaTrader support, for the Range and Time series to be added for this to work.

        Hello Tonofit,

Could you attach the strategy that you made so that I can see if that generates the error for me as well? I would not expect that error to happen with the builder, if it is I would want to see what steps you had followed to see that.
You can find the file in the folder: Documents\NinjaTrader 8\bin\Custom\Strategies

It is a .msi file so in running that file to try and uninstall the SP500 Robot, which is a promotional SP500 Robot strategy from Ninjacators that they offered in a presentation about Robot Trading from them. The SP500 Robot strategy is a microsoft .msi so I can't attach it as the post won't accept that extension of .msi. The installer showed a repair option so I tried that and then uninstalled it and the InputSeries for Builder is working and the error is gone.

            Hello Tonofit,

That does sound like a problem with that item. If that is something you will continue using I would suggest to reach out to the vendor of that product and report the steps you used where it results in an error with the builder. Our support could work with that vendor if needed, otherwise they can review their product to correct that problem.
