Enter trade with less than one lot
Hi I'm using default EnterLong()/EnterShort() command. That opens trade for NDX with one lot. Can I somehow set it up/configure to open with e.g 0.1 lot? Input params seems to accept only int values.

Hello Jozef Neuschl,
Thanks for your post.
Unfortunately only int values are able to be used for the quantity parameter when calling EnterLong() and EnterShort(). You would not be able to pass in a double value for the quantity when calling these entry order methods. This could be seen by looking at the syntax available for those order methods in the help guide. The syntax could also be seen below.
EnterLong(int quantity)
EnterLong(int quantity, string signalName)
EnterShort(int quantity)
EnterShort(int quantity, string signalName)
See the help guide documentation below for more information.
EnterLong(): https://ninjatrader.com/support/help.../enterlong.htm
EnterShort(): https://ninjatrader.com/support/help...entershort.htm

Ok so what is a proper way to make a buy order of 0.1 lot? Or buy a NDX with equivalent of 10 000, USD?
Thanks

Hello Jozef Neuschl,
Thanks for your note.
To accomplish this, you could create a double variable named something like myQuantity. Then, you could assign the current NDX price/10000 to the variable and convert that variable to an int when calling your order entry method.
For example, see below.
Let us know if we may assist further.Code://class level variable private double myQuantity; protected override void OnBarUpdate() { myQuantity = Close[0]/10000; if (condition) EnterLong((int)myQuantity, "MyEntry"); }<span class="name">Brandon H.</span><span class="title">NinjaTrader Customer Service</span><iframe name="sig" id="sigFrame" src="/support/forum/core/clientscript/Signature/signature.php" frameborder="0" border="0" cellspacing="0" style="border-style: none;width: 100%; height: 120px;"></iframe>

I think I don't understand ... let say NDX value is 14 000 / 10 000 = 1.4 after rounding to int it's 1. Then when used in Entry method it means 1 lot.
Am I right?
Will test your suggestion though ... but first trying to understand.

Hello Jozef Neuschl,
Thanks for your note.
`A standard Lot would be equal to a quantity of 100000. A mini Lot would be equal to 10000. A micro Lot would be equal to 1000. And, a nano Lot would equal 100.
See this publicly available link for more information: https://www.babypips.com/learn/forex...rofit-and-loss
To enter a quantity of 1 Lot when calling EnterLong(), you would need to set the quantity field to 100000.
And see this help guide page: https://ninjatrader.com/support/help...with_forex.htm
