How to properly set 'Date' conditional statements in Strategy Builder

There exist certain dates in which I do not want my algo to trade. I attempted to set these but apparently I did it wrong. Is this possible in the SB?

Specifically: In the conditions window I chose the "Time" folder and it opens with a series of choices. Choosing "Date Value", it by default shows the current date in the left lower window. On the right I chose date again, chose a specific date and set the operator to "Not Equal".

I have noticed the left side value of this condition will remain the same as when it was first written. So it is not updating to current date in a live setting.

Should I be using something like state or current state? i.e. "Current State notEqual Date xx-xx-xxxx?

Edit: Just tried that, nonequal expressions. No - Go...

Thanks for your post.

To create a Date comparison in the Strategy Builder, on the left side in the Condition Builder you would select Time folder > Date series. In the center, you would set the dropdown menu to 'Equals' or 'Not equal'. On the right side of the Condition Builder, you would select Time folder > 'Date value' and select the date that you would like to use for your condition.
