How to find horizontal channel breakouts?

The breakout seems to be the easy part (new high) but what is the easiest way to find a horizontal channel, or any channel for that matter? I've searched but no joy. I would be looking for a horizontal channel (with x% or less total variance) longer than n bars:

Alternatively, rather than running C# over price action, is there perhaps an indicator that would make this easier?

    Thanks

    Hello d122y,

You would need to design your own logic for this.

Below is a link to an example that gets the y-intercept along a line which you may find useful.

What are your exact rules for the channel?

Are you looking for any bars where the price is falling after on the previous bar it was rising?

Is there a threshold for how high the must be?
