Renko Bar Strategy Builder

Hello, I am using Ninja Trader 8 and looking to build a strategy using the renko bars. I would like to place a sell order or buy order when the first renko bar appears bullish (Green) or Bearish (Red) and vise versa. Not sure what settings to choose. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I will move this into the NinjaTrader8 Strategy forum as that would be a more appropriate place for strategy-type questions.

To distinguish between an up bar (green) and a Red bar (Down) you would compare the open to the close price. If the close is greater than the open then it would be a green bar. If the close is less than the open then it would be a red bar.

To determine when you have a new green bar you would check to see if the previous bar was a red bar. You can refer to the previous bar by setting the "bars ago" to 1 (instead of 0 which is the current bar). So if the previous bar Close[1] is less then Open[1] and the current bars Close[0] is greater than Open[0] then you have the condition of a new green bar.
