    Strategy Stops in Live Trading

I have read up on a variety of relevant materials. In short test today I ran my strat on the live market in SIM. I noticed my stops are painted in the simulated format as opposed to visible hard stops. I have not coded simulated stops intentionally, so the question is: Are hard stops created in the strategy builder automatically simulated stops in the live market; i.e. not visible? I do of course refer here to using the live account...

    Hi John, thanks for posting.

The stop loss set up through the Stops and Targets section is by default not simulated. You will need to check "Simulated Stop" in the SetStopLoss settings to make it a simulated stop. Can you confirm simulated stop is unchecked/checked?

    Best regards,
    -ChrisL

        Hi John,

Can you please send a screen shot of these orders you see as a simulated stop order?

        Best regards,
        -ChrisL

            Hi John,

Depending on the connection you are using it could be the cause. Can you let me know what connection you are using and if you are A. Using the Sim101 account or B. Using a paper trading account with your broker, this would be indicated by the account you have selected in the "Account" setting for the strategy you made.

            Best regards.

OK Pic attached. To answer your last question:

The pink stop you see in the attached pic, whether live or SIM, is what is produced. This holds true when testing in market replay as well. The pic shown here is an actual live trade in progress on my Ninja Brokerage account, i.e. you guys. If in fact this is a simulated stop, that's OK, and in fact preferred; but for safety's sake I would also want to have an additional (larger) hard stop visible and live in real money trades.

Hi John, thanks for posting that. The stop shown here is a stop market order, it is not a simulated stop. The simulated stops, when active, will be yellow.

                Best regards.
