Enter on HighestBar

Am I reading this right if I put this in my IF statement, then it will enter a long if the current bar's close goes over the highest of the 1 previous bar?

Default.input[0] > HighestBar(High,1)

it doesnt seem to be doing that. thanks

Hi ezrollin, thanks for posting.

HighestBar will return the number of bars ago the highest bar occurred. Use MAX(High, 1) to find the highest value of each bar.

I used this instead:
if ((Close[0] > HighestBar(Close, 1)) ............. then enter long

I marked on my chart of all the areas I thought it should be entering long because its at a point where the current price is higher than the previous close or high.
But its not working right at all.
Any advice? thanks

HighestBar is returning a barsAgo value, not a price value. Use MAX(High, 1) to compare the current price to the highest high values.
