Ninjatrader Alert auto trading Prior Day Close

Hello Team,
I have build and alert (code is last price - cross below Prior day OLHC 1 minute) and I have attached an Action to short the stock .I only want the alert to trigger when the stock is in a downward trend and not on pullbacks when the price goes slightly above the close again and the does a second cross.I have been trying all day to find the correct code .Please help

Thank you for your note.

Are you creating this as an Alert using the Alerts window? Could you provide a screenshot example of a place you would and would not want it to take a trade?

The logic you're wanting sounds like it would be too complex for an alert and would likely need to be an automated strategy using NinjaScript, however, I'd really need a better idea of the logic you're wanting to implement.

Thanks for the quick reply! I have attached the screenshot : Where I have drawn 1 and 2 on the chart is where I would like the alert to activate because the stock is in a downtrend , the spot on the chart 3 and 4 are pullbacks but I don't want the alerts to trigger here because they could turn in to reversals.
Is there anyway around this ? I don't mind using the automated strategy because the intention is to go live with it anyway.

This does look to be complex - what constitutes a downtrend for you exactly? A certain number of ticks down over a certain number of bars?

Hello Kate,
I really just want to short the stock when it crosses the Prior Close for the first or second time and not every time the price touches the prior day close. I guess I will just have to turn off rearmed on the alert so as the trigger one alert a Day.
