edit a sample strategy

Hi,
How might I bring one of the sample strategies (sample ma crossover) into the strategy builder, make modifications, and save as my own custom strategy?

Hello David,
SampleMACrossOver strategy is not editable in Strategy Builder however, you could open it in NinjaScript Editor & right click - save as - "diff name" & make desired changes then compile. Hope it helps!

Thanks for your post.

As stated by s.kinra, you would not be able to edit the SampleMACrossOver strategy in the Strategy Builder.

If you would like to modify the SampleMACrossOver strategy, you would need to first create a copy of the strategy. To do so, open a New > NinjaScript Editor window, open the Strategies folder, select the SampleMACrossOver strategy, right-click in the strategy code, select 'save as', name the new copy of the strategy, and click OK. Then, once a copy of the strategy has been made, you could modify it in the NinjaScript Editor window.
