Bouncing strategy

I created a strategy in SB. I can run it it works fine. When I try to open it to make changes when i go near it it in stratgegyies it bounces away from my cursor and i cannot open it to modify it. I cannot open it from the strat builder tab i need to open it from the ninja script editor then the strategy opens. When I try to save as it bounces away. Its very odd?

First, what version of NinjaTrader are you using? The current version is 8.0.24.2. You can check your version under Help > About.

If you're not on the current version the first thing to do would be to update and test to see if the behavior continues.

To update NinjaTrader if necessary, please follow the steps below:

• First, copy your license key from NinjaTrader under Help> License Key then exit NinjaTrader
• Click on the link: https://ninjatrader.com/PlatformDirect
• Enter your license key and press Submit
• Select 'Download'
• Critical: Before running the installer, ensure NinjaTrader is closed.

If that doesn't resolve it or you're already on the current version, would you be able to supply a short video showing what's occurring? It's a little unclear from your description of the behavior.

The name of my strategy is to long, so when opening a strategy the window has to be maximized otherwise when trying to open a strategy with a long name it jumps and wont allow it to open.

What is the current name of the strategy so I may try to reproduce on my end?

To clarify, you are or are not able to open it from the NinjaScript Editor by double clicking on the strategy name in the list?

When the strat builder screen is not fully open and try putting cursor in the name it jumps but fully open the window it works fine.

Thank you for your reply.

This looks to be a side effect of the dropdown expanding when the strategy name is moused over and it's not at the very bottom of the list. I would suggest reducing the length of the strategy name if this is overly problematic, as it likely would be low priority and not considered a bug as such, I would suggest simply opening the strategy from the NinjaScript Editor or expanding the Strategy Builder to the screen width.
