indicators with Folders

Hi Team,

I have an indicator inside of a Folder. When I try to create a strategy, using the Strategy builder with this indicator I get an error, telling me that the name of my indicator is not in the context. What can I do to resolve this error?

Makes no difference whether an indicator is in a subfolder or not.
I've created strategies that use indicators from subfolders, works just the same

But from the looks of it, you didn't include the correct namespace
Did you build it with the strategy builder ? or manually?

Thank you for your post.

It generally would be possible to use an indicator that's located in a subfolder of the Indicators folder in the Strategy Builder. I suspect you may have made changes directly through the file system to put the indicator in the subfolder. Per our help guide, changes to sub-folders directly through the file system will NOT be reflected in the NinjaScript editor, and doing so will result in issues like you're seeing here. You would need to remove references to the indicator from the Strategy, then move the indicator back out of the sub folder, create a folder within the NinjaScript Editor, then drag and drop the indicator into the newly created sub-folder via the Editor in order for the proper namespace changes to be made to the indicator.
