How do I show indicators on strategy analyzer chart?

Hi,

I am running some simple backtests in NT8 using the strategy analyzer with trading rules based on an RSI indicator. When I run the analyzer and display the chart, it shows the trades as expected, but I would also like to see the indicator which is used to trigger the trades.

I know that I can add the indicator manually to the chart. But, first off this is somewhat cumbersome to do, especially with multiple indicators. Secondly, each time I re-run the analyzer with any change the indicators disappear and need to be re-added.

So, can somebody please let me know how to show the indicators permanently in the analyzer chart?

Thanks for your post and welcome to the NinjaTrader forums!

If you created the strategies with the Strategy Builder, when you select the indicator, in the indicator parameters check the box for 'Plot on chart".

If you are working directly in Ninjascript then you would need to use AddChartIndicator()

Thanks for your post.

No, the indicators added to the chart by the strategy builder strategy will only create an indicator panel if that is their default to do so, such as the MACD or RSI.
