Testing strategy with market replay

Hi,

I'm trying to test my strategy with market replay but the enable checkbox is grayed out. Should I be able to run my strategy with market replay? Also, my strategy need to run on each tick. Any limitations with respect to that in market replay?

Thanks for your post.

Please ensure you are using a Trader + enabled license key (can check under Help > About,) and please ensure you have the Playback account selected when you enable the strategy.

Please also ensure that you have Market Replay data for that instrument and we are getting realtime data updates when playing back that data.

Calculate.OnEachTick can be used with Realtime data, which Market Replay data mimics. Playback would mimic what we would see if we enabled the strategy on the Sim101 account with live data.

Hi Jim,

I have Core, Trader+, and OrderFlow+. Playback connection is currently selected and the charts are playing back, but all the strategy check boxes are grayed out in Control Center Strategy tab and in the individual chart strategy dialog boxes.

I noticed there is no connection indicated in the Strategy tab. Should it display a connection option like the currently enabled playback one?

Hello silverm3170,

The Connection column will not be listed in the Strategies tab of the Control Center unless the strategy is enabled.

What do you see in the "Account display name" column of the Strategies tab?

If you right click on the strategy and select Edit Strategy and then select Playback101 for the account, can you enable the strategy?

Thanks, that fixed it. It was Sim101 before.
