NinjaScript Editor&Builder and the rest not active

Are these NinjaTrader features not active because of the Free version of the platform? Does the account need to be funded before I can activate them or what is the reason.

I would not know to give you that answer, I just applied for an account downloaded the platform I guess it may be demo

certain things may be off because trading time is yet to resume. In the demo, NT8 demo can be connected to simulated feed via Connections then simulated data feed and configure.

If you wish to use these features to trade a Sim101 account, you will need a SIM(*) license key.
(*) -- These license keys all start with a "SIM" prefix.

No, you don't need a real brokerage account (funded or otherwise) to activate(**) these features.
(**) -- The license keys for the NinjaTrader platform are separate from your brokerage account.

What you need is a license key which represents a paid license, either Lease or Lifetime, or a SIM license key.

The features you're interested in are controlled by the type of license key installed, not your brokerage account.

Thank you for the great response, [redacted] this is how my license key looks like I guess its neither or.
How would I be able to get a SIM license key? I will probably buy the license once the account is funded and I can test my strategies on the platform.

Last I knew, it was pretty simple: just request one.

Try emailing 'support [at] ninjatrader [dot] com' and ask for a SIM license key.

It may help to include a link to this email thread.
