Trade Scalping System

I am trying to create a trade scalping system that looks at the high and low of the fifteen minutes prior.

For instance, if from 6:30 to 6:45 am the High was X, and then from 6:45 - 7:00 our price crossed X we would put a limit order in at X. Same thing for low. So the system would essentially compare current price to the high and low of the fifteen minutes prior and then enter long or short if we closed above or below the high or low. Any idea how I would get started on this?

Hi Jonathan,

That shouldn't be too hard to do on the strategy builder. There is a strategy builder 301 video that can give you a good start. From there the challenge will be the logic.

I would suggest making a variable like "PreviousHigh" and "PreviousLow" and housing it there for starters. Then you can build a crossover condition. You can build a timing condition to our just set your candles at 15min on the strategy analyzer.

This will depend on what primary series you use. If you use a 15 minute series you can just compare the High and Low of 1 BarsAgo. If you are using a different timeframe that can add some more difficulty it would really just depend on the scenario.
