Can I make Ninjascript-Strategy-Entry ATM Strategies act like "Select Active..."

Hi NT8,

I coded ATM entries with a ninjascript strategy (from the ATM example - thank you!). I've found that the entries perform like the selection "Keep selected ATM strategy on order submission". and I would like to test these entries as if they behaved in the "Select Active ATM Strategy on Order Submission" . Is there a way to do this? thank you!

Are you finding this is the case after turning on chart trader and turning the ATM Strategy selection mode to "Select Active ATM Strategy on Order Submission" that the stop and target are not amended and a new one is placed?

If so, I'd like to look at a reduced version of the strategy you're trying it with. You can omit any code unnecessary to reproduce.

NinjaTrader_Kate Was there a resolution for this issue? I'm seeing similar behavior. When submitting order using standard chart trader button, it behaves as "Select Active ATM Strategy on Order Submission", but when entering an order via StartAtmStrategy, it behaves as "Keep Selected ATM Strategy Template on Order Submission" regardless of the setting.

Welcome to the NinjaTrader forums!

Unfortunately, when using Atm from NinjaScript there is not a supported way to scale into an existing Atm.

The workaround would be to submit a new entry without an Atm, and then using the Addon approach modify the existing stop and target of the working Atm to increase the quantity to cover the new entry.
