Chart background color

Hi, I'm using an ATM strategy via chart trader to enter positions. What i would like is for my chart background color to change depending on the account that is connected to the strategy. For example, if its "SIM101" then chart background is black; if it's my live account, the chart background is dark blue. Since I may have several charts, some Sim and some active, this will help me know which account is active for any given chart. IS there a way I can develop an indicator or strategy that can accomplish this?

Thank you for your post.

There's actually functionality to change the color of the Chart Trader based on whether a live or sim account is selected in Chart Trader for that chart. The color for the live account depends on what skin you're using, but the color for the Sim account may be set under Tools > Options > Trading > Simulation Color.

However, it would be possible to grab the account selected in Chart Trader from an indicator and then change the chart background color.

I've attached an example indicator that one of my colleagues created that gets the selected account name and prints it to the Output window. This could be modified to change the chart background if the name matches the name of your live account, or to simply use Draw.TextFixed to print the name in one of the corners of the chart, for example.
