How to retrieve data in my strategy from alerts log

Hello,

I have an third party indicator that send an sound alert and fill the alerts log file with data regarding that alert.

I would like to use this alerts as trading signals, so I need to know the instant which each alert is triggered and to get the data from this alert to decide the direction & price of the order (buy/sell).

Attached you will find the alerts log file with one alert triggered.

Any ideas?

Hello federicoo,

There are no supported / documented methods to read the alerts log window.

In general, it is recommended that the indicator set a plot value (at the time the alert would be triggered), and this be used for sending signals to a host strategy (or for use with the Market Analyzer cell and filter conditions).

You could choose to use unsupported ways of finding the Alerts window and then digging through the WPF elements of that window.
