Headless strategy optimization

I would love the ability to headlessly test a strategy programatically without needing to open NT. After the run is finished, I'd like to load the results in NT to view them.

Use case: For very expensive optimization runs that may take up to an hour on my laptop I'd like to automate those to run in the cloud on a 64+ core VM and then immediately send me the results and shut the VM down (as they are very expensive per hour).

Is such a thing currently possible? If not could you open a feature request?

Btw the NT strategy analzyer is blowing my mind how powerful it is, you all have done an incredible job.

Welcome to the NinjaTrader support forums.

This is not currently possible to be completely headless. You can certainly use a more powerful VM to do this but you would need one with a windows UI so you can run the platform. There is a feature request in place to expose the analyzer features to NinjaScript so you could automate this type of task: SFT-4391
