Testing RealtimeErrorHandling

I have written some code to handle order rejections (as suggested here https://ninjatrader.com/support/help...eErrorHandling ).

Short of connecting to my broker and sending an order too big to be accepted, how can I test this code?

Thanks for your post.

You can set Maximum Position Size ion a Sim101 account to be able to test order rejections with realtime data. (Control Center > Accounts tab > Sim101 > Right Click > Edit Account) The Playback Connection will inherit settings from the Sim101 account, so if you want to test in Playback, you could enter in a Maximum Position Quantity for the Sim101 account, then connect to Playback.

Realtime Error Handling is used for realtime order submissions so they can be reproduced with realtime trades to the Sim101 account or Playback accounts. Some cases of order rejections cannot be recreated with the Sim account and would be best tested using a paper trading account if it is offered by your broker, or by carefully testing with a live account.
