Accessing Max Drawdown

Hi NT,

I am creating a custom Performance Metric and it's unclear to me from reading through the documentation on how to access the "Max Drawdown."

I want to create a custom metric where "net profit / max drawdown" is used when optimizing a strategy.

Is there a way to access Max Drawdown so that I calculate the ratio i'm looking for?

In a performance metric script use:
TradesPerformance.Percent.Drawdown or TradesPerformance.Currency.Drawdown.

So, if I'm running a 3-year Strategy Analysis, I would reference the Drawdown when the performance metrics are merged to obtain the Max Drawdown. Is that correct?

I'm not quite sure that I understand.

When you mention "when the performance metrics are merged" are you asking if there is a way to trigger an action when the summary is being generated instead of an individual backtest within the optimization?

No, there is not a way to trigger an action when the summary is being generated.
