What do I need to do to get around this error on Strategy Builder?

The condition or action using the input would need to removed first, then the input can be removed or changed.

How do I remove the imput?

By removing all use of the input first on the Conditions and Actions page as well as the Stops and Targets page.

Then by selecting the input and clicking remove.

That would depend on the script. If there is other code that is not using the inputs, that code that is not involved does not have to be removed.

Only the calls to the input need to be removed before the input can be removed.
