How to setup up negative number to use in Optimizer

Hello,

I'm trying to setup a user input to use a negative number so that I can optimize it in the Strategy Analyzer..

I'm trying to code this in the Startegy Builder using the Momentum Indicator as a whipsaw filter.. But I need to use a negative number for my short trades.. Is there a lesson somewhere or an example I can view on how to do this..??

Hello Michael,

Thanks for your post.

With the Strategy Builder, to use a negative number for an input, you will need to set the Min field value of the input to be the lowest negative number you would expect to use as otherwise the Min will limit how negative you go (which by default would be +1). So if you wanted to use -10 the Min field would have be equal -10 or less.
