Hello, i wanted to check if the Name field in the order object can be used to store some custom informational detail ie a string - so this can be used when reviewing the orders tab in the control panel. OR is this used by the broker and will overwrite anything written there - if this field is not available which field can be used to store a custom string

Thank you for your note.

The name field is just a string representing the name of an order which can be provided by the entry or exit signal name. If you are placing an order from a NinjaScript strategy, you can put whatever string you like in this field for signal name.

I am using the Addon Account->CreateOrder which is then submitted via Submit() i see the Name field here is max 50 characters and is NOT using StartAtmStrategy()
so this would also be fine ? is this the only field i can really use to put in a custom string?

Yes, that would be the only option to put your custom string. It's the same as the Name when using an order object from a strategy.
