The thought of moving to a new platform is unpleasant but becoming urgent due to the lack of multi system, multi instrument, portfolio level back testing.

For those interested in seeing this feature implemented, note the following:

• "Portfolio Backtesting" was requested as long ago as 2009-12-06 here, some 14 years ago
• SFT-137 has a reference as long ago as 2015-05-15 here, some 8.5 years ago, where it is noted as already being in the list of requested enhancements
• Whilst these may have been in NT7 days, they still seem to be the point of reference for such a request even today

As is usual for such requests with a "long history", adjust your expectations accordingly.

Hi,
Ninjatrader is superior to TS and MC in so many ways, but puts itself in 3rd place for algorithmic trading due to this one titanic shortcoming - no portfolio-level backtest analysis. If I can clumsily export data to an excel sheet, line up the dates, and insert a chart, I know you guys can do something amazing internally to save us from this horrific, massively time-draining, and error prone tedium. What, in tarnation is the holdup? Package it as an add-on and charge us extra if you must. We'll pay. But mother Hubbard, get'r done!!
