Account Name

I need to get the name of my account in NT8.

It was very easy with NT7 ("Account.Name").

Which is the best and the simplest way to get it in NT8?

Could you give me an example, please?

Hello Paul,

Sorry but when I use Account.Name the returned value is only the last characters of the complete description.

For example: My Account is: "My Full Name!Y1234".

And Account.Name return "Y1234".

How can I get the complete name of my Account?

Thanks for your reply.

Please use Account.DisplayName

I cannot find a helpguide reference so I have requested a documentation update to add Account.DisplayName which will return the account name that is displayed in the accounts tab.

Note that you can enable a name field column (right mouse click and select "properties") in the account tab that would display just the Y1234 which is what Account.Name returns as you have observed.
