Strategy builder - Bars ago ( within 25-75 bars)?

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know how to add a condition to the strategy builder involving asking to look at a certain range of bars ago? I see you can ask to something like.. ..set an alert when The double stochastic value 50 crosses above 99, 20 bars ago..... But how do we ask for an alert to go off for ...The double stochastic value 50 crosses above 99 within 20-80 bars ago? Can strategy builder do this? If I knew how to code I would do that however I don't

Thank you for your note.

The answer is "Partially". The "Cross Above" and "Cross Below" options in the conditions will allow you to specify a Lookback Period. However, in the Strategy Builder you're a little restricted with that, in that the lookback period always starts with the current bar and goes back from there. So, if you specify a Lookback of 80, it would go back through the past 80 bars. However, you can't specify a range that starts on another bar than the current bar, at least, not with the Builder. You would have to unlock the strategy and manually code that logic.
