Force Chart to Specific Session and Timeframe

My strategy is only for Nymex Energy RTH on a 5 min timeframe.

Is there a way to force the chart it is enabled on to change to these parameters using the strategy code?

If possible can it also force the chart to plot executions?

Hello casabella,

Unfortunately, it is not possible to change the primary series itself (trading hours, bar type, interval or anything that would require reloading data).

A time filter can be used to limit trades between specific hours. Below is a link to a reference sample in the help guide which demonstrates.

Some properties can be changed, however not all properties are settable.
The ChartBars has the PlotExecutions property.

Best solution is probably to check the current session template in use and refuse to run if this session
template is not the desired template.
