OnBarUpdate for custom Serries T

Can OnBarUpdate run on a custom Series T that is updated from external data that is programmically imported? or do i have to use TriggerCustomEvent to run my order logic with custom Series T data?

I can want a custom series t from external data to run order logic. Will not use data from nt data connection and thus i i think onbarupdate wont work. I assume i should use triggercustomevent.

It seems like you are asking how to get data into NinjaTrader from an outside application that is not a supported data connection, is that the case? If so, there is currently no support for this type of input however you can import historical data files using the historical data manager. Using historical data you can run the script over that data to see its OnBarUpdate called.
