ADDING ADDITIONAL DATA SERIES ie 5 and 15 min TO CONFIRM TRADE EXECUTION ENTRY/EXIT

SCENARIO- I'm using 2 indicators T3 and SMA to execute trades upon crossing over ie
- T3 above SMA go long
-T3 below SMA go short
The cross over closes the previous position and enters a new trade.
The script built in the Script Editor works but the buying and selling occurs too many times.

The data series I'm using EURNZD 1min.

However, I want to confirm the entry using 2 other time frames 5 min and 15 to confirm the long or short position to entry.

I require help to nest the 2 other data series to confirm the trade.

Please note I'm new to NT.

Thanks for your post.

If you are using the Strategy Builder, then you can add the two data series in the window "additional data" by clicking the "add" text at the bottom right of the window. As you are using higher time frames of the chart bars (these are the "primary instrument") you would first check the 'Use primary instrument" checkbox, then change the "Value" to 5. Repeat the process for the 15 minute series.

If I understand correctly you are wanting to confirm if on a 5 minute and a 15 minute the T3(some period) is > SMA(some period). To use the higher time frames you must change the "input series" for each indicator to select the higher time frames.
