Draw.Text not working correctly when used in a strategy

When you use Draw.Text in the script of a NinjaTrader strategy, it may or may not work, depending on how the strategy is started.

(1) When the strategy is added to a chart and enabled through the strategy dialogue box of the chart, Draw.Text will work.

(2) When the same strategy is added to a chart but enabled through the NinjaTrader Control Center, Draw.Text will not work and the draw objects will not be drawn by the strategy.

I believe that other NinjaScript Draw methods behave in a similar way (not tested).

Thanks for the follow up.

This bug is reported as fixed in R17 and up. Please ensure you are running revision 17.2 of NinjaTrader 8 by going to Help>About.

If you are not on this version, please update using the steps below:

• First, copy your license key from NinjaTrader under Help> License Key then exit NinjaTrader
• Click on the link: http://ninjatrader.com/PlatformDirect
• Enter your license key and press Submit
• Select 'NinjaTrader 8'
• Select 'Download'
• Critical: Before running the installer, ensure NinjaTrader is closed.

If you are already on the latest version. I will need to test the script you are using. Please export it, then either post it here, or you may send the script to platformsupport[at]ninjatrader[dot]com referencing the link to this forum thread in the body of the email.
