Simple strategy on High/Low of prev candle

Would like to build a strategy for testing. Description in the subject. Where should one start? Are there important shortcuts and things to know?

Thanks for your post.

You can check the high or low of the previous candle with either High[1] or Low[1], respectively.

I am not aware of any specific shortcuts for creating this strategy. Are you going to be creating this strategy in the Strategy Builder or manually coding it?

Hi Josh,

Watched the webinar, read the guide. Cannot make a strategy to show on a chart, neither his nor mine. The name shows in the left upper corner but the bars of action are not highlighted. It is 'enabled'.

For a strategy, I'd like a M15 at 18:30 to be compared to the price and make an entry based on that.

Do you mean that you cannot run the strategy built in the webinar?

Do you see any errors on the 'Logs' tab of your Control Center? If so, what do they report?

Are you able to run this strategy in the Strategy Analyzer? If so, what results do you see?

If you enable the 'SampleMACrossover' strategy on your chart do you see historical executions?

No errors in the Logs. Run in the Strategy Analyzer is okay. I do not see historical executions on a chart.

Please write in to PlatformSupport(AT)NinjaTrader(DOT)com and reference this forum post with RE:JOSH in the subject line. Please attach your Log and Trace files to your email so that I may investigate this matter further. You may follow the steps below to attach those files.

• Open your NinjaTrader folder under My Documents.
• Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
• Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
• Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.
