Strategy orders triggered and account position placed

I've noticed that when starting a strategy on realtime charts, and a historical order is in operation, my strategy correctly places a stop loss and take profit target and they are listed in the order tab as strategy orders (i.e. NT-*****). But when they are executed, even though they close out the strategy position, I am also left with a real account position equal in size to the startegy position that was closed.

Why is this?

Here is an update on our resolution.

The strategy that submitted this order to your account was set to "Immediately submit" for its startup behavior. The account position was flat and the stop loss for the strategy position was hit. Incidentally, the account took on a short position because of this.
