Data language reference

Hi NT -

Can you link me to the Ninjascript reference to the Data class?

i.e. Data.MarketDataType
i.e. Data.BarsPeriodType

I looked under:

But, i don't see "Data" under the alphabetical reference and using search didn't return helpful results.

Thank you for the post.

In this situation, Data is a Namespace so there is not really anything to document here. This namespace holds various classes like MarketDataType or BarsPeriodType.

Is there something specific you are looking for in the Data namespace?

Here's the scenario:

(1) For a Strategy or Indicator if Calculate is set to Calculate.OnBarClose
(2) AddDataSeries("^UVOL", Data.BarsPeriodType.Minute, 3, Data.MarketDataType.Last);

Can you elaborate on this setting Data.MarketDataType.Last? And what that means to Calculate.OnBarClose?

Thank you for the reply.

The MarketDataType is specifically what it says, the type of data to request. In this situation Last would be the Last type data, you can also choose from Ask or Bid data.

The Calculation mode is a concept in the platform, you can read more about that subject here: https://ninjatrader.com/support/help...tsub=Calculate
