round off at setprofit with calculation.percent

    Dear all

How calculate NT8 the Round off for setprofittarget() using calculation mode percent.

For example i would like to obtain a profit of 0.1% of ES futures. the current price is 2470 points and the result is 2.47. the minimum tick is 0.25.

What is the profit in this case.

    best regards

      Hello memonic,

      Thank you for your patience.

When using percent as a calculation mode, 1 will represent %100. So for %1 of the ES, you will add 0.01 as a parameter in SetProfitTarget().

Here is a link to our help guide on SetProfitTarget() parameters.

If we may be of any further assistance, please let us know.

Thanks for your answer. The round off of the minimum tick how is procesed?. For example 1% of profit for Es at price of 2470. the profit is 2.47, this value is not divisible by the minimum tick 0.25

        best regards

          Hello,

          Thank you for your patience.

Percent mode should only be used on instruments where there point value = 1, e.g. Stocks.

With the point value of the ES is 50, so using percent mode can produce unexpected/confusing results.

If there is anything else I may assist with please let me know.

              Hello memonic,

              Thank you for the reply.

You may use the Price parameter to specify your profit target. With this parameter, you will specify an absolute price for your stop loss/profit target.

For example, if the ES is currently at 2470, my profit target will be 2471 and stop loss will be 2469 (just an example).

If questions come up or if we may be of any further assistance, please let us know.
