Is possible to paper trade with NT by sending orders to ToS paper account?
or Interactive Broker? -
Hello,
Thanks for your note.
ToS/TD Ameritrade and Interactive Brokers would both be supported for use with NinjaTrader.
The following link will take you to a page that details the steps required for creating a connection to TD AMERITRADE and specific connection configuration information.

Paper account
Thanks for helping me with this.Originally posted by NinjaTrader_DrewO View PostHello,
Thanks for your note.
You would still be able to connect to your account if it is a Paper Trading account, and would also have the option of trading the Sim101 account that is built into the platform for simulated trading. More information at the below link:
https://ninjatrader.com/support/help...01_account.htm
But TD has one login for a paper account and real trading account.
SO I don't see a choice on NT 8 to choose Paper or real, how can I make sure I'm connected to my paper account?

It is the same username and password for both of them.Originally posted by NinjaTrader_DrewO View PostHello,
Thanks for your reply.
When you mention a login, are you referring to a separate username and password for each account? If so, you would want to enter in the username and password for the Paper Trading account connection.
Tos provides one login for both, is it possible to have a separate log in for each account?

No. ToS doesn't apply here.
The NT version of TDA is like the old TDA, strategy desk.
You have to use sim101 in NT to "paper trade".

Hello mattage86,
As the API does not allow us to select between the live and paper trading account, the platform would not be able to submit orders to the paper trading account.
As this is a limitation of the API we would, unfortunately, not be able to correct this from our end unless the API itself changes and enables multiple-account selection.
If you are interested in further information in this regard, please reach out to TD Ameritrade, as they might be able to separate the accounts into two separate logins, which would then allow NinjaTrader to select one account or the other.
