This is outstanding since at least this post from 2019
Hi I have a longstanding problem with the execution markers being too small to be effectively visible on my charts. The same problem also applies for drawing
In the original post SFT-2174 was given as tracking, presumably 2307 and 2174 should be combined?
Please can NT advise how many combined requests there are for this by now? Thanks

Hello Bend70,
Thanks for your note.
Feature request SFT-2174 is not in regard to support for 4k monitors. This feature request is for the ability to adjust the size of drawing objects such as arrows, dots, triangles, etc. (including plot execution markers)
All feature request votes for optimization and support of 4k monitors are being tracked under a single internal feature request ticket.
This request is being tracked under the number SFT-2307.
Deciding on features for future releases is not a simple black and white decision. There are many factors involved including but not limited to:- Demand which is measured by objective user requests and subjective discretion on the part of our Product Management team.
- Feasibility
- Developer bandwidth
- Current projects in the queue
- Economics
Let me know if I may assist further.Last edited by NinjaTrader_BrandonH; 08-03-2022, 08:32 AM.<span class="name">Brandon H.</span><span class="title">NinjaTrader Customer Service</span><iframe name="sig" id="sigFrame" src="/support/forum/core/clientscript/Signature/signature.php" frameborder="0" border="0" cellspacing="0" style="border-style: none;width: 100%; height: 120px;"></iframe>

Hi Brandon. My original post three years ago was seeking to reclaim effective functionality FOR A 4K DISPLAY. But you're saying that request isn't relevant to 4K support tracking?
Apologies for the caps, but easy to get lost in semantics here. My concern is that NT might have many different feature requests running in parallel, with none of them adding up to a call to action, yet a lot of users thinking, man, they still don't support 4K in 2022?? Thanks

Hello Bend70,
Thanks for your note.
NinjaTrader does not have multiple feature request tickets open for the support of 4k monitors. As previously stated, all votes for this feature request are being tracked under SFT-2307.
Please let me know if I may assist further.<span class="name">Brandon H.</span><span class="title">NinjaTrader Customer Service</span><iframe name="sig" id="sigFrame" src="/support/forum/core/clientscript/Signature/signature.php" frameborder="0" border="0" cellspacing="0" style="border-style: none;width: 100%; height: 120px;"></iframe>

It is now 2023....I have a 4k monitor. I didn't seek out this style, it is now a common monitor type. There are indicators that do not display and it seems to be this issue of 4K. Does NT8 work with 4k monitors?

Hello brownbrenda,
Thanks for your notes.
This feature request for support for 4k monitors has not been implemented into the NinjaTrader Desktop platform at this time.

Hey Brandon, can you suggest then what needs to be added to the indicator formula in order to get the Data Box of the indicator to display correctly? It is odd that every other part of the indicator is sized right but just not this data box. The person who created the indicator asked if I had a similar indicator with a data box printed on the chart and I don't as he would like to replicate it or know how to get this data box to display so it can be seen.

Hello brownbrenda,
Thanks for your note.
Since NinjaTrader does not officially support 4K resolutions and was not designed for 4K monitors and has not been tested on 4K monitors, we cannot definitely say what will and will not occur when 4K monitors are in use.
Further, we do not have any advice available for what could be used in the code of an indicator to have it work correctly on 4k monitors since 4k monitors are not supported.

Never had any issues running dual LG 40" 5K2K monitors... recently did a write on it for traders who were considering the monitorOriginally posted by NinjaTrader_BrandonH View PostThis forum thread will be open to other community members to share their insights on the topic.
Before getting the second monitor I had tested just one of them out.... First time I had bought it on sale and forgot to buy the second one before the sale ended. So I had used the 5k2k with a older non-4k together for 3 months which was fine. Then another sale came about so i bought the second one. Both have been working great with NinjaTrader for the last 6 months.... at least with these monitors.
