Instrument list unwanted items

How are unwanted expired futures contracts removed from the instrument list on a chart's drop down box? See attached picture.

Can a default list be made that will appear, (not as a submenu item but as the primary list), whenever an instrument is to be chosen such as on charts or in a strategy UI box?

Hello Camdo,

Thank you for posting in our forum. The six most recently used instruments will appear at the top of the drop-down list you see in your charts, etc. To remove any unwanted instruments, please hover over the instrument with your mouse and press the Delete key on your keyboard.

To create a list of instruments which will always appear on this drop-down list, please use the pin feature within the drop down list. In addition to your six most recently used instruments, any pinned instruments will appear at the top of your drop-down list.

Please see the following section of the NinjaTrader 8 Help Guide for more information. There is a section called "Pinning and Removing Instruments" which addresses your particular questions.

I'm sure they can, but I'm unaware of a fixed process thus far.
