Use Backup?

Hi, I have a new trading computer and am starting to load my programs on it.

What is the best way to migrate NT8 from my old PC to the new one?
Would it be to backup NT8 on the old PC and transfer the backup file to the new.
Then install NT8 on the new PC and restore from backup?

If so, will this include all my work spaces, data, custom strategies and indicators?

Thanks for your post.

Yes, use the NinjaTrader backup utility to create a single file to transfer over. The file will contain all of the selection you make. Hint - if you uncheck market replay data and historical chart data the file size will be smaller and save/restore process will be faster.

Once you have downloaded a new NT8, you will need to run NT8 and then you can run restore (Tools>Import>Back-up file) to bring in your existing settings, workspaces, charts, etc.
