Share a chart setup

I'd like to share the way I've set up a chart between several NT users. I'd expect I could save/export to template, share that template as a file, and the other user can load that external template back into their NT.

Is there a way to do this?

If not, would it be complicated to build an extension that would do this?

Thanks for your post and welcome to the NinjaTrader Forums!

You can accomplish this with windows explorer.

After you have created and saved the template of the chart you wish to share, using windows explorer, you can find the template file which can be found in Documents>NinjaTrader8>Templates>Chart> (it will be named as you saved it and have an .XML extension).

On the other end, they would directly move the file into the same location of Documents>NinjaTrader8>Templates>Chart>. Then they would be able to load the template onto a chart (or create a new chart with the template). Please note that they would need to have the same indicators installed that you are using on your chart.
