Import Backup - Custom Instruments Data Missing

1. Chart templates, Instrument lists, Workspaces & Custom instruments (Futures, Index, Currency) were created and data downloaded into NT8
2. Export Backup which includes all items (Config files, Database, Historical, Log...)
3. Import Backup which includes all items (Config files, Database, Historical, Log...)
4. NT8 will shut down after Import Backup process end
5. Re-launch NT8, Chart templates, Instrument lists, Workspaces & Custom instruments (Futures, Index, Currency) ,Master instruments data restored successfully
6. Custom instruments data missing
7. Tested on 2 PCs with new install / uninstall n reinstall NT8, same behaviour
Is there a bug or I am missing something? Please advice, thank you.

I tested this but I was not able to reproduce the behavior.

In NinjaTrader 7, I created a custom instrument, imported a small amount of data into this and then migrated to NinjaTrader 8.

The custom instrument and data were migrated successfully.

Hi ChelseaB, the backup was exported with NT8.6.0.1 instead of NT7. Updated the description of sequence, hope it clarifies. Thanks

I did that completely wrong. Sorry about that.

I retested (using 8.0.7.0 released today) and I was able to reproduce.

I've reported the behavior to NinjaTrader Development. Once I have a tracking ID for this item I will post this in this thread for future reference.

Our development has provided a tracking ID for this behavior.

This item where historical data for custom instruments is not being restored from backup is being tracked with ID #NTEIGHT-11791.

Please wait for future release of NinjaTrader and check for this ID in the release notes.
