Continious contracts

Hi,

i'm very familiar with NT7, but new to NT8.
I'd like to create a continious contract (es/fdax/etc etc##-##)

How can this be done?

I do use IQfeed as my own data feed and have a second dataweed thru ninjatrader brokerage ( my account is with Dorman. )

Please help me out, thanks in advance!

Thank you for your post.


Here is how to add a continuous instrument to your default instrument list.

• Navigate to the Control Center > Tools > Instruments Lists window.
• Left-click to select the instrument list that you wish to add this instrument to in the left panel, then left-click on the 'add' button at the bottom of the right-hand panel.
• Type the name and use ##-## as the expiry front month of your instrument in the search field that appears (For example, CL ##-##) . Press the Enter button on your keyboard to confirm this change.
• Left-click the OK button to close the Instrument Lists window.

Your new instrument is now added to the instrument list of your choice and can be chosen from that list when creating a new chart or SuperDOM.


You can also type this into any open chart and press enter to create a continuous contract. When your chart is selected and a letter or number key is pressed, the Instrument Overlay appears. Within the Instrument Overlay, you can change the instrument by typing the instrument you want to load (For example, CL ##-##) and pressing the "Enter" key when finished.
