You cannot delete a system strategy

I want to delete my Strategy. but when i do this i get an error message:

''You cannot delete a system strategy '' When I go to Tools>Remove Ninjascrips Assembly
I can delete it but then i is still in me editor menu.


I want to update the strategy with a new one but the old one does not delete well.
Do you know anything i can do?

Thanks for your post.

Your screenshot shows you have selected the NinjaTrader supplied strategy SampleMACrossOver. This is a NinjaTrader provided sample strategy. All NinjaTrader supplied indicators and strategies are locked to prevent their modification or deletion. The sample strategies are important to keep as they also act as test standards when questions arise.

You are welcome to open the SampleMACrossOver strategy in the Ninjascript editor then right mouse click and select "save as" and provide a new strategy name. This process will provide an unlocked copy of the file that you can modify or delete as needed.

Unfortunately it is not supported to delete any of the strategies that are present by default in NinjaTrader Desktop.
