Drawing Tool Alerts...
So I put a Horizontal line (support line) on the chart. I right click on the line and choose "Alert...". I set up the alert, I choose another instrument and I lose the alert I just set up?? Please explain if that is the case. As far as I can tell, yes it is. That means I have to keep a chart open for each of my instruments if I want to use that alert feature, unless I set it up in Market Analyzer, right? If so, please suggest to the *powers that be* that this is extremely lame. (With all due respect of course).
I hope you can enlighten me otherwise.Last edited by funk101; 03-26-2017, 09:59 AM.Tags: None

Hello funk101,
This is correct.
An Alert may use hard coded values and drawing objects that are specific to an instrument.
Drawing an objects used in one alert, will not be on the chart if the instrument is changed.
Because of behavior such as this and other items, Alerts are specific to the instrument and chart.Chelsea B.NinjaTrader Customer Service
