Playback Go To function processes entire range of data

The NT8 Playback connection dialog offers a time slider (first image) and a "Go To ..." function (second image):





Currently, using either one causes NT8 to process the entire range from the start time to the "Go To" time. This triggers all custom programmed events, alerts, sounds, etc., and it is very slow.

This behavior is very different from NinjaTrader7's, where one could instantaneously fast forward to a location without having to wait through the historical data being replayed.

Is this a permanent "feature" and is there a way to disable it?

Right Click on the time line and select "Playback Current Day Only". That will minimize your pain.
