    NinjaTrader 8.0.4 & IB TWS 960 - Invalid Username

    After upgrading NT and TWS to 8.0.4 and 960 the auto connect function has been flaky. 99% of the time when NT attempts to enter the user/pass in to TWS either a few characters from the beginning of the username are placed at the end or a couple characters are just missing. It appears that the speed in which NT attempts to input the user/pass is too fast causing an Invalid Username error from TWS.

    After the connection fails due to invalid login you can cancel out of TWS and then using the Connections menu select IB again. Here about 60% of the time the user/pass will be entered correctly and almost always on the third attempt it will work.

    Anyone else seeing this also?

    Can you please proceed as follows.

    - Shut down NinjaTrader and go to Documents-->NinjaTrader 8.
    - Right click the Config file and open it in Notepad.
    - Search for the following line: <AutoLogonDelaySeconds>0</AutoLogonDelaySeconds>
    - Change it to the following: <AutoLogonDelaySeconds>5</AutoLogonDelaySeconds>
    - Save the Config file in Notepad and close it.
    - Start NinjaTrader and check if the auto logon works for you.

      My current delay is set to 40 seconds. This AutoLogonDelaySeconds was modified by instruction from support to allow TWS more time to start before NT attempted to connect with it. This setting does not change how soon NT entered login details to launch TWS only how soon it connects to it.

            Hello antrux,
            In some cases the delay has be known to take around 120 - 150 seconds. I would recommend testing around the 100 second mark first and if this does not work correctly please move up by 10 second increments. You will need to wait until the amount of seconds to expire before confirming the connection will not be established.
