Margin is required for take profit limit orders?

I am constantly getting error: Not enough excess margin." This is causing me lots of grief as support has told me that "profit taking limit orders set to scale out also require margin." So I can get into trades but can't get out because my profit taking orders are being rejected. Doing this in Sim and I'm using a third party program(R3) for sizing, so increasing the account size or manipulating margin amounts just messes the math. Anybody else being irritated by having to account for margin on profit taking orders?
