How do I measure the ticks in a candle?

When I use the ruler tool, it doesnt say how many ticks are in a candle, or how much price has moved. This is important so that I can plan where my stops go.

Hello Grantx,

If you click and hold your middle mouse button (scroll wheel) on a price bar, it shows the mini data box which includes the High and Low.

The Ruler drawing tool shows the amount of bars, time and Y value between its 2 anchor points. If you apply the first anchor point on the Low of a price bar and the second anchor point at the High, it will show the price difference (Y value).

The default Y value display unit is 'Price'. This can be adjusted to percent, ticks, currency, or pips. Double-left click on your ruler tool then adjust the 'Y value display unit' as you desire. Here is a screenshot example:

You can also draw Risk/Reward levels and set them in ticks
