NT8 Export Strategy Analyser to Excel

Hello, Always when I export (right click - export...) my testing data from the Strategy Analyser to Excel the format in Excel is completely off and I cant AutoSum or Sort Largest to Smallest for Example... Excel also does not let me easily convert the data in a usable format (e.g. et Profit into Currency) Is this a know issue? Is there a work-arround? I would really like to use Excel to do a deep dive into my data but it is very tedious with the current export settings.

    Which version of Excel?

    ----

I ran a quick Playback market replay and exported 20 executions, and sorting was fine.

I have excel 2016 on win10.. I haven't had any issues with open office either lately.

There was an issue that cropped up around beta10/11, but they fixed it.

So could you be more specific? Can you upload a sample file? That would at least give them something to go on.

Thank you for the feedback. I also have Excel 2016. Attached an output sample. For example, Autosum does not work for all currency values... Based on that I also cant sort Largest to smallest for example ...
Just changing the format does not work either.... Is this an excel issue ? It seems to me the output from NT does not come in the right format. It is time consuming to adjust everything with formulas ... I cant attach an excel file ... or at least dont know how...

            Hello JBU1314,

            Thank you for your response.

Can you attach the file to an email to platformsupport[at]ninjatrader[dot]com with 'ATTN: Patrick H' in the subject line and a reference to this thread in the body of the email?

I look forward to assisting you further.

Hi All. Have you found an answer to this problem. NT 7 did not have this problem. The problem started with NT 8. What seems to happen is that when NT 8 exports data to Excel, it makes all the data "General" instead of number formatted data. This is why you can't sort or sum. It sees the data as text. Please let me know if there is a way to change the export settings.

One work around that I've found is that in Excel, select the data in question and replace the "$" with nothing. This will remove all the "$". Then, change the cells format to number and you should now be able to sum, sort, etc.
