draw region by session

With NT8 I really like the drawing tool "region highlight Y". Is there a way to have these regions only valid for the session? Or better yet, to allow the user to choose between session or "forever"? I tried changing the time stamps in the properties, but that doesn't seem to do anything. If it is possible, please provide instructions. thank you.

Currently, the only option to define a beginning and end horizontally would be to use the rectangle instead of the region highlight tool.

However, I will submit a feature request to the Development Team for this functionality within the region highlight tool.

Region Highlight by Day

Hi Patrick,

Today, I stumbled over the exact same limitation. I don't quite understand why it is possible to highlight bars in different colours based on conditions (in backtesting and live trading), but not a region.

It appears as if the most recent region highlight is (still) applied to ALL sessions.

Can this please be fixed?

The region highlight in the attachment should only be shown on the last day between the vertical highlighted bars. For earlier days, a DIFFERENT region should be highlighted based on calculations for the respective earlier day.
